Entrepreneurial training

The Roodeplaat community is a rural area with limited access to resources and services. Many residents—especially those living on Plots 175 and 123—belong to the most vulnerable groups and cannot afford transport or access to formal support systems.

In response, many individuals have taken initiative by starting small businesses—like spaza shops—to support their families and serve the community. While the entrepreneurial spirit is strong, many of these businesses struggle to grow due to a lack of formal training and resources.

Kamcare is committed to helping these small businesses succeed and grow.

We offer a practical training course designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and confidence they need. The course begins with a visioning session, where learners reflect on the purpose behind their business and define what they hope to achieve.

From there, participants are guided through:

  • Business planning – writing a practical business plan for personal guidance and fundraising

  • Budgeting and financial management – including how to manage money and handle loans responsibly

  • Understanding legal and regulatory requirements for small businesses

  • Real-life inspiration – featuring a successful entrepreneur who shares their journey and advice

A major challenge many learners face is the lack of funding to launch or scale their businesses. To help bridge this gap, Kamcare is now a registered B-BBEE service provider, giving businesses the opportunity to invest in grassroots entrepreneurs—strengthening communities and earning empowerment points in the process.

Learner Feedback:

“It is so good for doing this. I’m learning so many things in my life about business. Thanks.”

Together, we can empower dreams, support local economies, and build lasting change—one small business at a time.
